The idea for these cards was born purely out of what I had handy in my crafting box. I had some festive ribbon left over from last year’s Christmas wrapping and have been amassing little jewels and sequins every time I go within 5 metres of a craft shop for the last couple of years (I just can’t resist the sparkly things.)
You need a nice plain block colour background for these rather blingy designs. I like the plain brown card, but the green background really makes the red tree pop out.
The second one is for my boyfriend’s parents and I decided they would prefer a more understated design so I left off the hundreds of haphazardly-glued jewels, sometimes less is more.
Now to hope that the first one reaches England without being too heavy for the stamp I put on it with that great big stonking star plonked at the top of the tree.
